The Transfer-Year Experience Program is available to students who transfer to Georgia Tech in the summer or fall semesters. New summer and fall transfer students can select the Transfer-Year Experience when applying for Academic Year housing! There is no fee to participate, and students will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority for students in the following Pathway Programs: Atlanta Public Schools, First-Generation, and Talent Initiative. Students will be added to the waitlist when the TYE Program reaches capacity.
Students with active applications (who are not on the waitlist) and who are unable to be placed in the Transfer-Year Experience will be notified and provided the opportunity to live elsewhere on campus.
- Live in Zbar Apartments located on West Campus
- Attend the Fall and Spring Retreats (1/2 day)
- Enroll in GT 2000 Transfer Student Seminar during your first semester at Georgia Tech (1 credit)
- Participate in the Transfer2Tech Peer Mentor Program
- Foster meaningful social and professional connections with administrators and students across the Institute
- Assist your transition into Georgia Tech by receiving timely information about campus events, activities, and programs that are relevant to transfer students
- Network with peers, campus leaders, corporate representatives, and Georgia Tech alumni
- Receive personalized support from a network of professionals dedicated to your success
- Engage in the Leadership Microcredential during your time in TYE to earn a digital badge credential
